Garnett develops its range of metallic card clothing in line with the continuous process developments of the textile industry. As machines run faster in search of greater productivity, wires are adapted in advance of requirements. All Garnett Wire products are manufactured with a soft rib for easy, secure wrapping, and with cut-to-point precision teeth hardened for increased wear and durability.

Company History
Since 1991 when the Indian Card Clothing Company and Joseph Sellers & Son Ltd bought Garnett Wire Ltd, the company has been transformed from an "also ran" to the market leader. This has been acheived through, improving product quality, targeting non-wovens industries and building a service operation which our competitors are unable to match.
We have made our name supplying the recycling industry, our highly durable products provide sustained performance with minimum maintenance requirements. We have extended our services by offering an 'on-site' reclothing service to our existing in-house shop, and then leveraging this service to add-on other aspects of support to our customers. In some cases we have total responsibility for the upkeep of the carding line and will add extra carding sections. We have also been involved in the relocation and refurbishment of machines. These are available possibilities in the fast changing UK marketplace, where hourly paid contractors are often a cost effective alternative to employing a full time member of staff.
Local History
Cleckheaton or 'Clackheaton' is a chapelry and village in the parish of Birstall, West Riding, about 198 miles from London, nearly 6 from Bradford and 9 from Leeds finely situated in a valley, stretching from north to south the hills rising gradually on each side are very fertile, and the valley is in a high state of agricultrure which with the acclivities abound with wood that greatly improves the general scene.
The manufacture of machinery for carding and spinning wool is the most prominent feature of trade here; worsted is also manufactured, as are coarse woollen cloths, and the neighbourhood abounds with mines of coal, which are wrought to a considerable extent.
This village within these few years has undergone considerable improvement, and its consequence much advanced by the erection of many very handsome residences; and Cleckheaton may, at this period be considered a flourishing and respectable place.
